See also:

where I describe a somewhat different way to do this. (I use an Edge 605, but the same method should apply to 205/305).

Hello!!
I´m Kike from Spain.I have a new Garmin 205 EDGE.I´m getting crazy trying to put tracks into the GPS.
I need your help! Please help me!
I have a Mac.
I´m reading about 3 or 4 hours/day on the internet looking for information. But is impossible.
The principal thing that I want to do is make routes in Google Earth and put in then in my Edge205.
What are the programmes that i need???
It´s necesary the Google Earth Plus?? Exist for Mac??
I´m reading in forums but nobody explain it with precision.
I got in my computer this list:
-GPSy X
-GPS Connect
-KLto GPX Converter
-LoadMyTracks
-MacGPSPro7
-Garmin Training Center (but don´t work well now)
-Garmin Bobcat
-Garmin MapInstall
-Garmin MapManager
-...and can´t do anything!!!

Can you explain me step by step the things that i need and how to make it.
Thank you very very very much!!
